Jimena Lara currently serves as Chief Culture and Social Impact Officer and Director of Anglo Arts at The Anglo Mexican Foundation.

She holds a BA degree in Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, and an MA in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University. In the cultural public administration, she has served as Director-General of International Affairs at the Ministry of Culture of Mexico; Director of International Affairs at the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA); Deputy Director of Artistic Development in the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA); Deputy Director of Promotion at the National Auditorium and Program Coordinator at the Mexican Cultural Institute of New York, among others.

She is a fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar and has served as member of several Boards of Directors, including The Anglo Mexican Foundation, Centro Cultural La Quinta Montes Molina, and the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA).

She has been a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana and has received scholarships from the Organization of American States and FONCA.
